I absolutely love this little place. The atmosphere and food makes me feel right at home. It's small inside so you might not be able to eat there if it's full. But if you time it right you won't be disappointed. It's cash only payment which can be kinda inconvenient. However it's worth it.

Classic Norwalk diner experience. Love the Star Omlette and trash potatoes. They always have great service, and food is quick and tasty.

We were looking for a quick meal to outrun the rain while on the motorcycle. Reviews led us to the Star diner. They didn't disappoint. I ordered the country fried steak special. Everything was delish from the steak to the gravy. Eggs cooked as I ask and tasty hash browns. Hubby got the Star burger. Good hand pressed patty with hash browns egg and bacon that was amazing. He had a side of cheese bacon fries. (Liquid cheese would have made these great) we plan on returning again, though you would have to go early as they close at 2pm. Dont blink or you will miss the small building. Diner food at its best. Excellent service!

Hidden gem - The place looks like an old 1950's house that was converted into a restaurant. Don't let that discourage you. While small inside, the place seats about 40 people. There was a slight wait but once you're seated, things take off from there.They have a great menu, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I had the breakfast and it was very good. Others were eating a variety of breakfast and lunch. The lunch looked good as well. This place is a absolute must visit if you're in the area.

Star Diner has been my go-to place for breakfast for as long as I can remember. Everything is tasty, stick-to-your-ribs fare, so this place is perfect when you're looking for comfort food. You won't find better sausage gravy anywhere in the area (or beyond for that matter)! Highly recommended when you're in the mood for a delicious morning meal. As a heads up, Star Diner does not accept credit cards, so come prepared with cash.

Love the food here and the pricing is perfect! This is one of the main places I look forward to go to for breakfast or lunch

Food was good but attitude of cook was awful. Stared at my son, non-stop, because she didn't like that he drank 3 of the coffee creamers. For all of the hype I heard about it there it didn't hold up to it as far as feeling welcome.

Came in as a party of six. Me and my girlfriend sat at the bar. We told the waiter we were together. She took the orders of our group sitting at the table. Skipped us proceeded to take 6 orders of people that came in after us. Then this is the best part she realized she skipped us came over and then literally took the order of the man beside us that came in after us too. We waited over an hour for our food by this point the group of us at the table had already ate and the man beside us had finished his food and still didn’t have our food at that point we gave up.

Omelet is to die for! I had the Western and my son had bacon omelets and both were wonderful.

So we have are at the Star Diner for yrs and have done take out. Today, Mothers day we ordered out obviously because of pandemic only to get home and find entire order was wrong. Now this place has always been cash only, my suggestion is in the near future they need to mayby have a face bk pg set up for ordering and do credit. Small vendors use that gadget they can plug into phone and seems extremely easy. There aremany ways they could make things easier for themselves and customers.

Thete food is so good what a shame they close at 2 everday ..you can pie homemade breakfast all day they open at like 5 am the place is small but they serve alot of people .they DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING BUT CASH no credit or debt cards ONLY CASH

I love this place. Great service and food. Portions are large. Had eggs, links, toast and hashbrowns. If you leave hungry, that's your own fault.

This little restaurant is a gem! Small, but mighty! Delicious lunch on our way to the Summit Race Track.

I travel a lot in my job, and have dined in any number restaurants all over the eastern United States, North and South. And in all those places I have never been treated as good as I was this morning. Not only is the food really good, the owner and the people that work there are just simply the best.
